On the evening of February 6th, about 50 community members from across the San Fernando Valley officially began the process of forming a “Valley JCC”. Today, after our third community meeting with a fourth scheduled in May, and initial funding from a Los Angeles Jewish Development group, we are well on our way to achieving our goal of restoring JCC services to the entire San Fernando Valley.As seen in this Jewish Journal Article, people across Los Angeles are taking notice of efforts to restore JCC services to the San Fernando Valley.
